Club History

The club was formed in 1986, initially as Marylebone FC before becoming London Tigers in 1997, then merged with Kingsbury Town F.C. in 2006 to form Kingsbury London Tigers, they then reverted to London Tigers FC in 2011. The club plays in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division. London Tigers also developed into a charity organisation established in 1997, diversifying their portfolio to deliver a range of services for disadvantaged communities. The head office is based in the City of Westminster, but the organisation works across the London Boroughs of Camden, Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Tower Hamlets, Redbridge and Barking & Dagenham.

In the 2008–09 season Kingsbury London Tigers achieved 5th place in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.  In the following season the club reached the 1st qualifying round in the FA Cup for the first time. In the FA Vase the team also made history, reaching the first round proper after winning two qualifying games against Hatfield Town and Takeley before losing to Biggleswade United in the first round.(Who were opponents for our visit on the 3rd December - How surreal?)

Let's take a tour of the Tigers domain

You've been warned !!!

Well, if you were feeling brave and ready to continue the tour, here is one of many "MDF" built stands you will encounter.

New for 2014 - Non League Shopping Trolleys

More "MDF".

I think this is a first - wooden dug outs.

Urban decay on Greenford High Street

I had some to time to kill before kick off, so I walked along Greenford High Street and came across this gem of a shop. The advertising signage dates back to the late 70's if I'm not mistaken, has the shop been closed since then?

You don't say.

From a look inside the stock does not look too old and the light is on?

Some nice sweets, would you like to try some? Hopefully this will help to date the shop's closure?  I spy some M&M's, if my memory serves correctly they entered the UK market in the early 90's...the plot thickens...
