In the last episode I was boarding a ferry...where I was going ? Holyhead is the correct answer - whereby I was greeted by this  fine footbridge.

and. ... what was at the other end of this foot bridge - this quality establishment which rather sums up Holyhead quite nicely, I'm sure I saw Mr P walk out of here with an inflatable reindeer!

A rather fitting piece of urban decay for Holy head...please excuse the pun - just could not resist this one.

and the true purpose of my journey is revealed... Crewe Alexander FC.

Hang on a minute, what do we have here - Oakes farm feeds..well makes a change from his mascot duties I suppose.
A fine view of the Crewe skyline..are you tempted to visit?
The match was marred by the early sending off a Crewe Player - by ref Mr Attwell (Spurs fans may remember he dismissed Gary Cahill of Bolton at the lane recently).  Despite the early setback, Crewe re organised their lines and put in a spirited effort against the league leaders. Crewe should be pleased with the point secured in difficult circumstances.

Stuart Attwell is so popular he has his own entourage to escort him off the pitch.

The pictures above are intended to give you feel for the amount snowfall on the Friday preceding the match. Mr Oakes and I were due to visit this ground last year (4th Dec to be precise) - but snow got the upper hand on that day - obviously I was fearing this time around - luckily lightning did not strike twice on this occasion. In the foreground is Crewe's main stand - which would be a worthy addition to some premiership grounds.
Post match interview with Crawley's manager - Steve Evans c/o Flysouthnews Group .
