Peterborough United Football Club are a professional English football club based in Peterborough. Peterborough United formed in 1934 and played in the old Midland League, which they won six times; eventually being admitted to the Football League in 1960, replacing Gateshead. Their home ground is London Road and the club nickname is The Posh. After being relegated from the Championship on the final day of the 2012–13 season, the club will compete in League One, the third tier in the English football league system, in the 2013–14 season. Their highest finishing position in the Football League ladder was 10th in the Championship.
Interesting fact No 2 in a series of 500
Until recently, Peterborough FC were the last team Spurs had beaten in a penalty shoot out over a period of 18 years.
After a long wait, I'm pleased to announce the return of the club mascot to this site.
The Executive Suite looks rather welcoming ???
Target practice for penalties?
For some reason Posh appear to be determined to keep you out the ground - more on this later readers.
Out and about in Peterborough
We found some nice graffiti under a bridge.
Graffiti in the allotments as well.
Ye Olde Cherry Tree PH
Nice drop of Timmy Taylors Landlord .
A posh night
See the empty stand - this is due to be demolished - Asbestos in the roof - how many people have stood there ? Exactly, good to see the footy fan is always at the heart of everything a football club does .
Too quick for me.
